Experience
Stephen B. Shell joined Shell, Fleming, Davis & Menge in 1984. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in the specialty of real estate law, and practices primarily in the areas of real estate transactions and development, condominium law, eminent domain, business and commercial law, and wills and estates. Mr. Shell regularly counsels and represents corporate and business clients in all types of business matters. In the real estate field, he has represented lenders, developers, builders and property owners in an array of matters including subdivision and commercial development, condominium development, residential and commercial closings, and various other real property matters.
Steve is an agent for Attorneys Title Insurance Fund, Inc., First American Title Insurance Company, American Pioneer Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a past board member and officer of the Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Association, and has served on various committees of the local association.
Community Service
Steve advises or serves on the boards of several charitable and civic organizations, including First City Sports Council, Baptist Health Ventures, Inc., Baptist Healthcare, Inc., Answering the Call Ministries, and the Waterfront Rescue Mission. Past involvement includes board membership (including chairmanship) of Covenant Hospice, and serving as legal counsel to the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Shell is also a graduate of the 1993-94 class of Leadership Pensacola. He is an active member of First Baptist Church, where he serves as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon. He is also involved in the local, national and international mission and relief work.
