Experience
Patrick J. Hammergren, a native of Pensacola, has extensive litigation experience focusing his practice primarily in the areas of criminal defense and family law. Mr. Hammergren served in the United States’ Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, as an officer, before transitioning into the private practice.
Since returning to Pensacola in 2004, Mr. Hammergren has represented and counseled hundreds of clients throughout Northwest Florida who have been accused of crimes or who have been involved in criminal investigations. As an experienced trial attorney Mr. Hammergren has successfully assisted his clients with their defense to a variety of crimes ranging from DUIs to serious felonies including drug related charges and white collar offenses.
Mr. Hammergren devotes the other half of his practice to family law lending his assistance to those involved in child custody disputes, divorces, those with child support issues including modifications, parents involved in dependency cases, adoption, permanent guardianships, and other related areas. A member of the Florida Bar and the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association and past member of the American Inns of Court, Pensacola Chapter, Mr. Hammergren also served as an officer in the United States’ Navy.
Community Service
Along with his legal experience Pat is very active in our local community. He is a member of the Board of Directors of both Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida and the Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle. He is also actively involved with Pensacola Catholic High School, as well as, St. Paul Catholic Church.
